I have been a fine art and commercial photographer for most of my life. I’ve recently sold my commercial studio and now do mostly landscapes and nature photography. Deep down, I’m a tree hugger, and always have been. Being outdoors in the early morning light with a camera in hand is one of the great pleasures of my life.

Published work includes 48 Hours in Rhode Island, many editorial articles in RI Monthly, Newport Life, Victorian Homes, Romantic Homes and others. I have been documenting land use in RI for many years. I have been awarded grants from The RI Council For The Arts, Newport Tree Society, and National Grid for my photography of trees. I also received a grant from the Prince Foundation on behalf of the Sierra Club.

Solo shows include Roger Williams University, Facets Gallery, RI Bank, and the Chestnut Hill Mall. Group shows include Portsmouth Arts Guild, Green River, DeBlois, Jessica Hagen Gallery, Sakonnet Artists and others. Juried shows include Newport Art Museum, Bristol Art Museum, Mystic Art Association, Wickford Art Association, Portsmouth Arts Guild, Sakonnet Artists, Hope Gallery and Green River Galleries. Represented by Istock.com, Past President of Newport Photographers' Guild, Past officer in the Portsmouth Arts Guild.

I have taught both traditional (film) and digital photography at the Newport Art Museum, Bristol Art Museum, and lead digital photography workshops in the area. I lecture and offer private lessons on a variety of photographic subjects. You can view some of my work online at http://www.armorphoto.com, or by appointment in my studio.
